Important Announcements: Policies and Rules

Selection & Replacement Policy
The coaches & committee have recently confirmed the following selection policies:
a. The 1st Grade team will be named at Thursday night training after the coach has confirmed that selected players are available.
b. Selections for both 1st & 2nd Grades will favour players who have attended training.
c. Where multiple players are available for the same position on game day, the coach will endeavour to give all players some game time, however this may not always be possible. Again, selections will favour players who have attended training.
d. The coach (or his assigned delegate if the coach is playing or otherwise unavailable) will be solely responsible for making replacements during the match & for the timing of any replacements.

Discipline
On-field discipline has been poor this year, resulting in numerous penalties given to the opposition & too many Yellow & Red cards given to our players. Given the negative impact to the team caused by these indiscretions, the coaches & committee have agreed that effective immediately:
e. Any player who receives a Yellow card for a blatant unnecessary offence (eg. Shoulder charge, punching, etc.) will not be allowed to return to the field. After the allotted 10 minutes, the player will be replaced.
f. The coach will be solely responsible for determining if an individual player who has received a Yellow card will be allowed to return to the field.
